It is with deep sadness that we bid farewell to Prof. Ing. Dr. Ingwald Strasser, who passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 75. For decades, he had an extraordinary influence on the Institute of Medical Physics at the University of Vienna and later on the Center for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at the Medical University of Vienna. Without him, our center would not have become what it is today.
