Wolfgang Drexler
Wolfgang Drexler is a Full Professor and since 2009 Head of the Center for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering after having been Full Professor of Biomedical Imaging at Cardiff University, UK from 2006-09.
He also spent 2 years at the MIT, Cambridge, USA in 1998 and 1999, received the Austrian START Award (2001) and the COGAN Award (2007), his h-index is 71 (Scopus) and his research grant income since 2000 is €16 million.

Hermann Lanmüller
Hermann Lanmüller is Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Vice Chair of the Center for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering. He established the quality management according to ISO9001 at the center and has been the quality representative of the center since 2008.
His scientific activities focus on Neuroprosthetics and in this context on the development of implants for the stimulation of nerve and muscle fibers or the acquisition of bioelectrical signals for the control of prostheses. .
