Dr. Hatamikia won the Innovation Award 2021/2022 for Medical Technology sponsored by Technopol Wiener Neustadt. The project titled 'Customized 3D imaging - collision avoidance in CBCT for interventional imaging" was the core element of her PhD thesis (supervisor Prof. W. Birkfellner). It was funded by the Austrian Center for Medical Innovation and Technology (ACMIT). In this project, a new algorithm for computing personalized trajectories for CBCT imaging was developed. This paves the way for the next generation of the CBCT devices.
