As a member of Prof. Aszmann's research team, our colleague Martin Schmoll recently contributed to a publication in the prestigious journal "Nature Communications." Schmoll was responsible for recording and analyzing biosignals, particularly the measurement of neural afferent signals directly from the nerve. The research team at MedUni Vienna made significant progress in enhancing the sensitivity of bionic prostheses with this work. In the future, this technology is expected to enable patients to regain the sensation of their lost limbs and perceive the prosthesis as a natural part of their body.
