Schlöglhofer Group

The interdisciplinary Schlöglhofer working group focuses on innovative technologies and research approaches in the field of mechanical circulatory support systems (MCS). The aim is to further develop the safety, efficiency and long-term compatibility of cardiac support systems such as Left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) and Impella systems using state-of-the-art methods from technology, medicine and computer science.

The working group combines expertise from biomedicine, mechanical engineering, computer science and clinical research - with the clear aim of transferring technical innovations into everyday clinical practice and thus sustainably improving the care of heart failure patients.
